Recently we completed a project in Lewisburg, West Virginia. The James Withrow House, historically called the Montwell house, a two-story, red brick, rear facing “T” house was built in 1818. The Classical Revival style house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in December of 1974 and over time had fallen into some disrepair. The present owner engaged our firm to oversee the historic restoration of the house and apply for Historic Preservation Certification so that he could qualify for tax credits.
